President Donald Trump has issued a sweeping declaration announcing the termination of all documents allegedly signed by an “unauthorized autopen” during the administration of President Joe Biden.
In a statement released on Monday, Trump said that every document, proclamation, executive order, memorandum, contract, pardon, or commutation signed through what he described as the “infamous and unauthorized autopen” under Biden is now considered invalid.
According to Trump:
> “Any and all Documents, Proclamations, Executive Orders, Memorandums, or Contracts, signed by order of the now infamous and unauthorized ‘AUTOPEN,’ within the Administration of Joseph R. Biden Jr., are hereby null, void, and of no further force or effect.”
He further stated that individuals who received pardons or commutations allegedly authorized through the autopen should be aware that such documents have been “fully and completely terminated.”
> “Anyone receiving ‘Pardons,’ ‘Commutations,’ or any other legal document so signed, please be advised that said document has been fully and completely terminated, and is of no legal effect.”
The announcement has sparked immediate debate, with legal experts noting that the legitimacy and authority of such a sweeping move will likely face intense scrutiny and potential legal challenges.
